Wantage Town Council has been made aware of racist and offensive remarks shared on social media through an account that publicly associates the individual responsible with the Council.
We wish to make it absolutely clear that these views are not shared by the Town Council, and do not reflect the values we uphold as a public body. Wantage Town Council is committed to promoting equality, respect, and inclusion in all aspects of our work and within the wider community.
This matter is being taken seriously and is being dealt with in line with appropriate procedures.
