Record of Mayor’s Cadets

Mayor’s cadets are appointed by the mayor and council from local uniformed organisations, most commonly the Wantage Army Cadet Force or Air Cadet Squadron. Traditionally, the organisations themselves nominate the individuals for appointment. However, there is nothing to prevent cadets from being appointed from other non-military uniformed organisations.

The mayor’s cadets accompany and support the mayor at official events, including remembrance services and Market Place celebrations.
